I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
